SUMMARY:BCSV 50th Anniversary Afternoon Tea
DESCRIPTION:The Bus & Coach Society of Victoria will celebrate its 50th Anniversary at the end of 2018. \nWe are hosting a special afternoon tea to mark the occasion on Sunday 18 November 2018. A big afternoon is planned. We hope you can join us! Please note the event is for BCSV members and invited guests only. \nGeoff Mann\, the first BCSV President in 1968\, and Keith Kings\, one of the four founding members\, will be our special guests. \nGeoff Foster\, the original editor of Panorama will present a special segment on the history of the publications of the Society over the years\, covering the first News Sheets\, through Fleetline and Australian Bus Heritage to the much-loved Australian Bus Panorama of today.  \n\nThere will be a segment on BCSV Tours over the years with group photos. \nTony Finneran from Sydney\, author of the Gone But Not Forgotten -Tony Finneran\, is also attending as our special guest. And much more! \nA Special Commemorative Edition of Australian Bus Panorama will be released on the day\, dedicated to the photography of Keith Kings\, Geoff Mann\, Bruce Tilley and John Masterton. \n10 door prizes (books & models) are up for grabs! \nCatering will include sandwiches\, scones\, fruit and drinks. \nMake sure to arrive at Melbourne Tram Museum in Hawthorn by 3pm to be part of this special afternoon. \nMelbourne Tram Museum / Hawthorn Tram Depot is located at 8 Wallen Rd Hawthorn\, near the corner of Power St. \nTram Routes 70 & 75 stop adjacent\, with Hawthorn Station on the Belgrave/Lilydale line a short 10 min walk away\, \nPlease RSVP to the event page as “Going” if you intend to come – https://www.facebook.com/events/349405362224400/
