SUMMARY:BCSV November Meeting: NSW Government Buses over the years
DESCRIPTION:Join the BCSV on Sunday 17 November for our final Sunday social meeting for 2019. We’ll take a comprehensive look back at the government bus operations across both Sydney and Newcastle. Paul Kennelly will present the early years\, while Geoff Foster will cover developments over more recent decades. \nThe timing of the meeting is rather apt\, given the recent announcement by the NSW Liberal State Goverment to privatise the remaining sections of State Transit in inner Sydney. \nOur bi-monthly Sunday meetings are held at Hawthorn Tram Depot / Melbourne Tram Museum\, 8 Wallen Rd\, near the corner of Power St. \nAlight Tram Routes 70 & 75 at Riversdale Junction. Alternatively\, Hawthorn Station on the Belgrave/Lilydale line is a short 10 min walk away. \n\nEach meeting concludes with a short afternoon tea and chatter on the latest industry gossip. \nBoth members and guests are welcome to attend\, free admission.
