SUMMARY:BCSV daytrip to MOVE museum (Shepparton)
DESCRIPTION:Following the official opening of the expanded Museum of Vehicle Evolution in Shepparton in November\, and the placement of five buses into the display\, the Bus & Coach Society of Victoria is planning to make a visit for the bus enthusiast community on Saturday 29th January 2022. \n\n\nThis will be a full day trip\, with lunch provided in Shepparton. \n\nAGM:\nWe will also take the opportunity to hold our Annual General Meeting (deferred due to COVID-19 restrictions) at the MOVE facility where they have a conference room. \n\n\nFormal notification of the AGM can be found on our website – https://bcsv.org.au/event/bcsv-agm-2021-2022/ \n\nTRANSFER BUSES:\nDue to RSVP numbers\, we are now taking only one bus from the Driver depot and that bus will pick up at Oakleigh\, now also at Caulfield and in the City. It means an earlier start. \nFor regional attendees and those living Melbourne’s west\, we have also added an additional Deer Park pick-up which will wait for trains from Geelong and Ballarat. \nBuses will leave from a number of points in Melbourne: \nBUS 1 (DRIVER GROUP)\nnote earlier times & extra Caulfield pickup\n* Mount Waverley Depot – Ricketts Rd 7:50am \n* Oakleigh Station (south side bus stop route 733 – Johnson St) 8am\n* Caulfield Station (north side bus stop route 624 Kew – Sir John Monash Dr) 8.20am\n* Southern Cross Station (216 bus stop on Spencer St opposite Lonsdale Street\, near Coles) 8:50am \nBUS 2 (SUNSHINE SCENIC TOURS)\nnote extra Deer Park pickup\n* Deer Park Station carpark (rail replacement stop) 8:30am\n* Broadmeadows Station (general bus stops – Pascoe Vale Rd) 9am \nThere will be a 15-minute toilet stop at Wallan where attendees will be able to change vehicles. On the return we will do the same at Tallarook. \nFor anyone making their own way to the Museum\, we aim to arrive by 11:30am. Please wait for the buses to arrive. \nOur return arrangements will be a departure by 3:30pm with a drop off at the various Melbourne pick up sites by 6:00pm. \nCOVID-19 REQUIREMENTS\nAttendees of the daytrip and AGM are required to be double vaccinated and to use the QR code check-in on the buses and at the museum. \nMasks are to be worn on the buses and as directed by MOVE staff at the Museum. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the tour and AGM. Attendees should socially distance as much as the circumstances allow. \n\nCOST:\nThe tour will be free for BCSV members with non-members to be charged $20. DESCRIPTION:AGM NOTICE & LOCATION\nThe 2021/2022 Annual General Meeting of the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria will be held on Saturday 29th January 2022 at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution\, 7723 Goulburn Valley Highway\, Kialla at approximately 1.00pm                                                 \nThe AGM is being held in conjunction with our previously announced daytrip to the museum. \nThe 2021/2022 AGM was delayed due to the COVID-19 restrictions in accordance with authorisation from Consumer Affairs Victoria. \nElections for the Committee will be conducted at the AGM along with the presentation of the annual and financial reports. \nCOVID-19 REQUIREMENTS\nAttendees of the daytrip and AGM are required to be double vaccinated and to use the QR code check-in on the buses and at the museum. \nMasks are to be worn on the buses and as directed by MOVE staff at the Museum. Attendees should socially distance as much as the circumstances allow. \nMINUTES OF THE 2020 AGM\nAttendees may review the minutes of the 2020 AGM held at McHarry’s in Breakwater\, including the election of the new committee.  \nANNUAL REPORT\nOutgoing secretary Paul Kennelly has prepared an annual report detailing the societies’ activities and financial records over the 2020/2021 financial year. \nCOMMITTEEE ELECTIONS: \nVacant positions include: \nExecutive Positions:\n* President\n* Deputy President\n* Secretary\n* Treasurer \nOfficers:\n* Assistant Secretary\n* Tours Organiser\n* Historical Research (Heritage/Archive)\n* Membership\n* Restoration\n* Safety\n* Publications Editor\n* Social Media Officer\n* Website & Virtual Museum Content Officer \nWe’d also welcome those who wish to join us as general committee members. \nAs always members are encouraged to put themselves forward if they believe they can make a contribution to the Society\, particularly helping us organise tours. \nSPECIAL RESOULTION\nAs part of the AGM\, the Committee is asking members to consider the following special resolution: \nThat this AGM \n(a) ratifies the decision of the Committee to take up the option of two fully funded display positions at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution at Shepparton for an initial period of 12 months (November 2021 – November 2022) at $2\,500 per position (plus GST) for a total cost of $5\,000 (plus GST)\, \n(b) directs the Committee to seek sponsorships from members to fund\, or part fund\, the annual cost\, and according to level of sponsorship received\, to fund any deficit from reserves and/or from an agreed co-contribution from the owner of the bus being displayed\, \n(c) directs the Committee to seek expressions of interest from both operator and individual members for vehicles to be rotated through the Museum during the 2022 year\, and any subsequent year\, in the Society’s two positions\, \n(d) directs the Committee to undertake an evaluation of the program with a view to presenting a recommendation at the September 2022 AGM for continuance (or otherwise) in the program for a period of up to three years. \nNOMINATION & PROXY FORMS\nNomination forms have been emailed to members and can also be downloaded from our website: \nPDF – https://bcsv.org.au/wp-content/uploads/Notice-of-2021-AGM.pdf \nDOC – https://bcsv.org.au/wp-content/uploads/Notice-of-2021-AGM.doc \nNominations can be forwarded to The Secretary\, Bus & Coach Society of Victoria\, PO Box 33\, Caulfield East\, 3145 or to secretary@bcsv.org.au  to arrive by Wednesday 26th January 2022 or be made in person at the AGM. \nMembers who are unable to attend the AGM may nominate a proxy by way of a form which clearly identifies the name of the member’s proxy and is signed by the member.
