Welcome aboard the Bus & Coach Society of Victoria’s website!
Our aim is to record the history of buses & operators, both in Victoria & across Australia generally.
We hope our new virtual museum provides enthusiasts, historians and the wider community with a valuable insight into the development of buses and coaches over the past century, documenting the many the trials & tribulations as passenger road transport has evolved.
As we have mountains of information to upload from our archives, the virtual museum will be an ongoing project for some years to come. But we hope you enjoy this first taste. We’d welcome any contributions of articles, photos, timetable scans or other material.
If you are interested in buses, we’d love to see you at one of the many tours we hold each year or perhaps at one Sunday afternoon social meetings at Hawthorn Tram Depot. We’d also be keen to hear from those undertaking restoration projects.
Please take some time to browse through our website to learn some more about the society. Make sure you come back as more content and additional features are added to both our website and virtual museum over the months ahead.
