BCSV Tour and Depot Visit to McHarrys, Geelong
The Bus and Coach Society is pleased to announce that its first post-covid lockdown tour to McHarry’s, Geelong will take place on Sunday 31 January 2021, visiting both the main depot and a satellite depot with a BBQ lunch included. This event was to have run in March 2020 but had to be deferred. COST Tour cost will be $10 for members, and $20 for non members with a 50% discount for persons under 18. AGM NOTICE & LOCATION The 2020 Annual General Meeting of the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria will be held on Sunday 31st January 2021 at the McHarry’s Buslines depot, 6 Reeves Court, Breakwater at 1.00pm. Driver Coaches 90th Anniversary
Join the BCSV as we celebrate 90 years of operation for Driver Bus Lines in Melbourne's eastern & south-eastern suburbs. The tour weekend over two days will include visits to the depots in both Mt Waverley and Hastings and opportunities to photograph and ride the extensive Driver Classics heritage fleet, especially on Saturday afternoon. Ventura Artic Riding Day – old & new
After two successful depot visits, its time for something different. In 1985-6 Grenda and Invicta were two of the operators to acquire ex Tsukaba Expo Volvo/ Fuji artics. By 2000 these were wearing out and new Scania L94UA/ Volgren artics replaced them mainly between 2000 and 2003.
