BCSV AGM 2026 + Guest Speaker: Pino Gattellaro (Sunshine Tours)

BCSV members are advised that our 2026 Annual General Meeting will held on Sunday 27th September at the Driver Bus Lines depot at Mt Waverley at 3pm.

Please note both the change to the original date and the original venue.

GUEST SPEAKER: PINO GATTELLARO
This will be followed by our special guest speaker, Pino Gattellaro, owner of Sunshine Coaches. Pino has been part of the bus industry for many years and is well placed to reflect on opportunities for the future.

Guests are welcome to attend for this portion however will be asked to refrain from voting during the AGM.

This is a free event however any donations from guests towards the Victorian Bus Museum will be welcomed.

VICTORIAN BUS MUSEUM RESOULTION
The meeting will see a vote on a special resolution considering to establish the Victorian Bus Museum Incorporated (VBM) which will manage the placement and care of buses at the MOVE Bus Pavilion and holding shed in Shepparton. This will mean that the day-to-day management will be in the hands of the VBM and not the BCSV.

The VBM Inc will also set fees related to storage/presentation and other related matters as it sees fit.

Consultation with bus owners currently with vehicles at MOVE will be held prior to the finalisation of the application to Consumer Affairs Victoria to establish the VBM Inc.

We would envision strong collaboration between the two organisations.

Positions vacant include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer & General Committee positions.

Other officer roles include: Assistant Secretary, Tours Organiser, Historical Research (Heritage/Archive), Membership, Restoration, Safety, Publications Editor, Social Media, Website & Virtual Museum Content.

As always members are encouraged to put themselves forward if they believe they can make a contribution to the Society, particularly helping us organise tours and events.

There will also be opportunities for members to nominate to be involved with the Victorian Bus Museum committee in due course.

Your proxy vote can include allowing your nominee to vote on your behalf regarding the establishment of the Victorian Bus Museum.

RENEWALS
Any members who have yet to renew for 2026-2027 must do so before the AGM should they wish to nominate for the committee or vote in the elections and special resolution.

We encourage all members planning to nominate to familiarise themselves with the model rules ahead of the AGM.

As per our model rules, a new member is entitled to vote/nominate if more than 10 business days have passed since he or she became a member of the Association.

AFTERNOON TEA
Following the AGM & guest speaker, there will be a afternoon tea where members can catch up with the latest industry gossip or reminiscence over a cuppa.

LOCATION
Our AGM this year will be held at the Driver Bus Lines depot, 45 Ricketts Rd, Mt Waverley.

Nearby bus options include Route 693 on Ferntree Gully Rd (connect via Oakleigh), Route 703 on Blackburn Rd (connect via Syndal or Clayton) & Route 737 on Blackburn Rd (also connects from a separate stop at Syndal plus Glen Waverley)

Each stop around 10 minutes walk from the depot. Ample on-street parking is available along Ricketts Rd. Do not park inside the depot gates.
